Little River has since evolved into a recreational wonderland. As a popular destination for those seeking water-based excitement, the small fishing village is a great spot from which to secure a deep-sea fishing charter or to rent boats or Jet Skis.
Not surprisingly, two events held in the town pay tribute to the bounty of fresh seafood hauled into its historic riverfront. Although live music, arts and crafts are presented at the Blue Crab Festival in May, the delicious crustacean is the star at the food booths. You'll enjoy similar festivities at October's Little River ShrimpFest , an opportunity to savor shrimp and other local seafood.
