Delaware Water Gap

The Antoine Dutot Museum & Gallery, open 1-5 on weekends from Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day, presents local history displays and art exhibits in a mid-19th-century brick schoolhouse; phone (570) 476-4240 for information. In early September, the Celebration of the Arts presents a weekend of jazz performances in a hillside amphitheater and at various venues throughout town; phone (570) 424-2210.

The Delaware River Scenic Drive, just outside town heading south on SR 611, affords views of the river cutting through an Appalachian Mountain ridge, known as a water gap. Drivers can pull off at Resort Point Overlook, Point of Gap Overlook and Arrow Island Overlook to enjoy the verdant scenery.

A Pennsylvania State Welcome Center providing local information is situated on Broad Street near its intersection with River Road.
