The architectural diversity of Pawhuska's downtown historic district stems from the prosperity that came with the oil strike on Osage land in 1921. Buildings of note include the 1887 Gothic-style Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; the Constantine Theatre and the 1894 City Hall, originally the Osage Agency house.
