A history center displays rotating exhibits. Guided tours of the complex are available; phone (507) 451-1420.
Architect Louis H. Sullivan, a mentor of Frank Lloyd Wright, designed Wells Fargo, at Broadway and Cedar streets, in 1908. Across the street is the Federated Insurance Companies office complex. Both buildings exhibit such Prairie architectural style embellishments as stained-glass windows, marble, ornamental wrought iron, terra cotta and leaded glass.
