During the holiday season, downtown Rochester's buildings are festively dressed for the season with The Big, Bright Light Show. More than 1 million LED lights thoroughly cover the building exteriors. Also part of the extravaganza are the Dancing Tree of Lights and the Snowflake Spectacular—light displays that are set to music. The lights can be seen daily 5 p.m.-midnight from late November to early January. The Annual Rochester Hometown Christmas Parade is another holiday favorite; it's held the first Sunday afternoon in December and runs through downtown along Main Street.
