Pies made with organic Gravenstein apples are just one of the yummy specialties you can purchase at Kozlowski Farms, 5566 Gravenstein Hwy. (SR 116). Carmen and Tony Kozlowski purchased their apple farm in 1949, and the second generation of Kozlowskis runs the farm—one of the first in the county to be certified organic—as well as the family specialty food business.
Visitors are welcome at the farm, where you can dip spoons into jams, salad dressings and barbecue sauces in a “tasting room.” In addition to pies and fruit tarts, the retail store sells a huge variety of gourmet products—from sugar-free red raspberry jam and apple butter to apricot mango preserves and pomegranate jelly—as well as Russian River Valley Pinot Noir wines. The store is open daily 9-5; closed Jan. 1, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Phone (800) 473-2767.
