Man-made recreational facilities include Wild Rapids on E. Lakeshore Drive, with three large waterslides, five giant hot tubs and two minislides. Skiing is available nearby.
A heavy concentration of minerals, including evaporated copper, silver, gold and sulfate and Epsom salts, can be found at Spotted Lake, west on Crowsnest Hwy. 3, which provides 446 kilometres (277 mi.) of scenic driving all the way to Hope.
