Walking Tours
Downtown Minneapolis' Hennepin Theatre District encompasses three historic Hennepin Avenue theaters: the Orpheum, the Pantages and the State. The opulent venues, all of which opened in the early 1900s, collectively showcase a range of architectural styles, from Beaux Arts to Italian Renaissance. Guided walking tours lasting approximately 1 hour bring visitors inside at least one of the landmark playhouses and convey the theater district's importance to the Twin Cities' cultural scene. The tour, which costs $5, is offered the second Saturday of the month at 10 and the last Monday of the month at 1 and departs from the State Theatre box office.
