Colonial Quarter

Colonial Quarter, 33 St. George St., is a 2-acre historic park featuring hands-on activities, pictorial stories and demonstrations in a tour that explores three centuries of life in early St. Augustine. At the 16th Century Spanish First City, visitors can explore a replica archaeological dig, watch a 50-foot caravel ship being built by hand and meander down a boardwalk underneath flags that flew in St. Augustine over the centuries.

Costumed guides depict daily life through demonstrations of blacksmithing and gunsmithing at the 17th Century Spanish Fortified Town, where you can climb a 35-foot-tall watch tower and participate in a musket drill. At the 18th Century Spanish Garrison Town, explore a soldier's home; in the 18th Century British 14th Colony, learn how life changed under the British occupation and during the American Revolution. A British pub and Spanish taberna are on the premises.

Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
