NATIONAL PARKAllegheny National Forest Allegheny National Forest extends 40 miles south from the New York-Pennsylvania border through the counties of Warren, Forest, Elk and McKean. The only national forest in Pennsylvania, its approximately 517,000 acres include 500 miles of fishing streams, 272 miles of hiking and cross-country ski trails, 300 miles of snowmobile trails and 108 miles of trail-bike and ATV routes. Several scenic drives traverse the area; contact the forest for recommended routes.

Bruce Peninsula National Park preserves one of the last remaining wild areas in southwestern Ontario; it is the core of the Niagara Escarpment World Biosphere Reserve. The backbone of the park is a portion of the Niagara Escarpment, a 725-kilometre (451-mi.) ridge that extends from Queenston Heights on the Niagara River to Tobermory.

NATIONAL PARKFinger Lakes National Forest Finger Lakes National Forest lies on a ridge between Seneca and Cayuga lakes, via I-90, I-81 and SR 17. New York's only national forest was officially designated as such in October 1985. The forest comprises just 16,212 acres and is one of the country's smallest national forests.
NATIONAL PARKGeorgian Bay Islands National Park is the park's largest island. Trails traverse the island, emerging from park campgrounds, picnic and docking areas. From the walking trails visitors can see various rare species of wildlife, a variety of birds, spectacular landscapes, precious habitats and evidence of the historical past. Summer recreational activities include fishing, hiking, swimming, bicycling, boating, kayaking and canoeing.
NATIONAL PARKHiawatha National Forest With shorelines on lakes Huron, Michigan and Superior, the two portions of the Hiawatha National Forest embrace 893,348 acres of the Upper Peninsula and feature the only Great Lakes lighthouses in the national forest system. A day pass costs $5 and offers access to trailheads, boat and canoe launches, and other day-use recreation sites; passes for other lengths of time also are available.
