Glacier National Park Montana

Going-to-the-Sun Road, one of the world’s outstanding scenic roadways, traverses the width of Glacier National Park. Blackfeet Indians were so awed with this majestic land that they deemed it sacred ground. Go on a vigorous trek, saddle up for a trail ride or take a peaceful lake cruise. You might spy a mountain goat, bighorn sheep, moose or marmot along the way.

St. Mary to Great Falls

During this leg, you can take a side trip to gaze at the magnificent peaks of stunning Two Medicine Valley as well as experience the legacy of the Plains Indians. Then, it’s on to Great Falls, where you’ll relive the adventures of Lewis and Clark, plus observe the works of Wild West painter Charles Russell, a liquor-loving, tale-telling and tough-talking cowboy.

Learn how native peoples hunted buffalo and venture past a natural wonder called Gates of the Mountains, where a Missouri River boat excursion navigates between soaring limestone walls.
