Amargosa Desert Scenic Route 374 is dominated by just what you’d expect: miles of desert land. An unexpected treat awaits down Rhyolite Road, which leads you on a foray into a once-thriving early 1900s town. Structures in various stages of ruin populate the area. The byway then enters Death Valley National Park, one of the world’s hottest locations.
