Hampton Inn by Hilton Chicago O'Hare Airport

We are in our 70's and this was the 1st time we traveled since before the pandemic. This one of the CLEANEST hotels we have ever stayed in, kudos to the housekeeping staff. The front desk staff was friendly, upbeat, helpful and followed up! They both get a 5 star rating from us. There is a nice breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausage along with waffles, bagels, cereal and oranges. The breakfast area is very clean. Whoever manages the breakfast selections does a great job. There is an indoor pool which we never had a chance to use as we were out & about and a workout room. Parking is included in your fee along with a complimentary shuttle to the airport. We expected airport noise & never heard any. Our beds and pillows were comfortable. The only things that prevented us from giving the hotel 5 stars are the following: height of the toilets. I have bad knees and it was painful for me to get on and off the toilet. I'm guessing the height is around 14 inches. I didn't think I'd need a handicapped room. I hesitated to ask for one as someone in a wheelchair might need it. The size of our room was cramped for two people with luggage for a week. If you have a short stay, it's a perfect size. A few of the outlets in the room did not work. I also did not understand the $20.00 a day extra fee for incidentals if used. This information was no where on the site and we are supposed to get a credit. Would we stay here again? Yes but I'd have to double check the height of the toilets in other rooms. Even though we were a bit cramped, the fantastic staff and cleanliness of the hotel would bring us back. Whoever is doing the hiring for the hotel is doing a great job.
