Courtyard by Marriott-Atlanta Northlake

The hotel pool was closed and had been closed for some time. That information was not listed in their website. It was 1 of the reasons I booked with the hotel. The air in the room would only get cool and not cold. It was over 95 degrees in Atlanta that weekend. The elevator was not working. It was only going up 1 level of stairs but when carrying luggage, that 1 level is a lot. Rooms on the lower level smelled like smoke even though this is a non-smoking facility. At check-in I waited 5-10 mins for the front desk staff to finish a personal conversation before acknowledging we were there checking in. We checked in a took a shower before going back out. On the way back in, we requested more towels and wash’s cloths and was given 1 towel. Then had to ask again for the wash cloths and additional towel. Finally, the room. The furniture was dirty. There was lots of hair on the bed that belonged to someone else. I always bring my own Lysol and cleaning wipes. Glad I did. Most of the wipes on common areas were brown. Ps; getting to the hotel is tricky because multiple addresses are listed on the website vs the booking reservation email. Made for an interesting journey. Positives would be the shops and food nearby. Easy access to the hwy. Each room has a balcony.
