AAA Diamond Inspector Notes
Be prepared for fun (and noise) in the evenings, as the hotel sits right in the middle of the action on Bourbon Street. The various sized rooms are appointed in classic New Orleans décor. A limited number of compact standard double rooms are available for those looking for just basic accommodations. Smoke free premises. 220 units. 7 stories, interior corridors. Bath: shower only.

The hotel was beautiful but very small rooms for the Queen size rooms. Two people barely can maneuver in the room. Bathroom was fit for 1 person.
Bourbon Orleans is a great location within the French Quarter. Loved that the lobby entrance was not directly on Bourbon and that the bar was accessible directly from the hotel or from Bourbon St. The pool area was good, no graduated in pool steps though, only in pool ladders. The lobby is beautiful. The hotel staff was inconsistent with how they treated guests. The room was as expected for a three star hotel.
Hotel location was excellent as you were central in the French Quarter but not actually on Bourbon St. Hotel staff was southern hospitality charm at its finest and always made us feel special and well taken care of.
We were excited for our stay here, but we ended up disappointed. The pool was the very best part of our stay. It was clean, and a welcome respite from the heat. Our room was somewhat tidy. The air conditioner could not keep up at all. The shower head was broken. We saw housekeeping one time. They came at 9, and we had not left yet. We told them they could come back. We did not ever see them again. We came back on our third day and had new towels, but nothing else was done. I am also missing a pair of shoes. We had accidentally left our stroller in our vehicle, and I called the front desk to try to get ahold of the valet. The card they give you only allows your the ability to ask for your vehicle. The front desk was quite rude, and seemed annoyed that I was asking to speak to valet. I told them I simply wanted to get the stroller. My husband said he would even go to the vehicle himself to get it, we just needed to know where it was. The front door man was very helpful, and kind. I wish I could remember his name. The hotel itself it’s interesting, and the history is interesting. It’s pretty, and the location is great for exploring. You absolutely have to use the valet or I literally have no idea where you would park. It’s presented as a choice, but it really is not at all. We were told there was breakfast in the morning, but the price of the, mediocre at best, breakfast was not mentioned. The bar area was nice in the evening. All in all, it was adequate, and we loved the pool. Word of caution, be careful around the pool. There was a lady who slipped on algae that had formed on the rock walkway around the pool. She lacerated her arm, and had a hematoma on the back of her head afterwards. We heard her head hit the ground when she fell. The incident, to my knowledge, was reported. I do not think I would stay here again.
