Atlanta Marriott Suites Midtown

This hotel is way overpriced for the cosmetic condition it is currently in. The decor is very outdated; the carpet is horrendous all over the whole hotel. We were not aware we had to pay for parking daily. Either pay for parking yourself or pay more for valet parking (I am willing to concede to the possibility that I may not have read this part prior to making the reservation but I usually read everything, maybe I missed it this time). You're going to have to pay for parking either way. That was an unpleasant surprise. The parking was VERY crammed, and underground. Kind of creepy. The furniture in the suite we had was extremely outdated. We paid extra money for the "city view", but when we looked out the windows the "city view" we had was a huge lot across the street that was under construction and a bunch of tall buildings blocking the sun from shining into the room. By booking through AAA, our booking came with a $25 credit to the eatery located inside the hotel. The front desk had to be reminded TWICE to acknowledge the credit for the meals we received from the eatery - once for checking in and again when it was time for us to check out. Then, it took the front desk person 10 minutes to put the credit on our hotel invoice. This made us late for our last business meeting for the day. I normally like the Marriott suites but I will not be staying at this one again. I will say, the staff is nice there. That was a best part about our stay there. I don't recommend this hotel for the prices they are currently offering.
