Village de Poul-Fetan
Poul Fétan, Quistinic, Quistinic, Britanny, 56310
Set amid the forested valleys of Blavet, the Village de Poul-Fetan transports visitors back to 19th-century Brittany. With traditional thatched roof cottages, farmyard animals, and costumed villagers going about their work, this attraction is a fun and immersive way to learn about Brittany’s cultural heritage.
The Basics
Visitors to Poul-Fetan—a recreation of a historic town in Brittany—can step back in time to the year 1850 and see what traditional life was like in the region. Watch the villagers perform daily tasks, take part in traditional Breton games, sample homemade butter and bread cooked in a wood-fired oven, watch demonstrations of wool spinning and pottery, and help feed the farm animals at this family-friendly spot.
Things to Know Before You Go
Tours are in French and most of the villagers speak French only, but English-language booklets and audio guides are available.
Plan at least a half-day visit, as there is plenty to see and do.
Family tickets are available, and children under 4 are free.
There is a restaurant where you can sample Breton specialties such as galettes (savory pancakes) and a gift shop selling typical Breton foods and crafts. Picnic areas are also available.
The village is outdoors, so bring sunscreen, a hat, and plenty of water.
The village itself is wheelchair-accessible, but access to the traditional buildings is limited.
How to Get There
Poul-Fetan is located just south of the village of Quistinic, about a 1.5-hour drive from Rennes. There is no public transportation to the park.
When to Get There
The village is open from April through September. Guided tours take place from around 11am, while activities and demonstrations are held throughout the afternoon, so it’s best to arrive in the late morning and stick around for a while.
