You can pair a visit to this moderately-priced museum with a stroll on Margaret Island—it's about a 20-minute walk—or take the H5 train to Batthyány tér for Castle Hill access.

How to get there
The Victor Vasarely Museum is located off the typical tourist path, in Buda's mostly residential Obuda neighborhood. If you want to take public transit, you can hop on the 86 bus or the 1, 17, or 41 trams to the Szentlélek Tér stop. If you're up for a walk, you can stroll across the Árpád Bridge (Árpád Híd), which connects to Buda to Pest, and is accessible via the northern tip of Margaret Island.
When to get there
The Victor Vasarely Museum and shop hold regular hours from Tuesday to Sunday, and entry is allowed up to 30 minutes before closing time. Since the museum is located a bit off-the-beaten-path, you shouldn't worry about crowds, but expect the museum to be busier over the weekend. If you visit on a Hungarian National Holiday—March 15, August 20, or October 23—entry is complimentary.
