St. George's Bermuda Cruise Port

St. George's Parish, Ordnance Island

One of three cruise liner ports in Bermuda—the others are Hamilton Harbour and Royal Naval Dockyard—the St. George’s Bermuda Cruise Port welcomes small and medium ships from around the world. From the port, shore excursions depart daily and King’s Square in historic St. George’s is just a short walk.

Visitors docking at St. George’s Bermuda Cruise Port typically head straight to St. George’s, a British colonial town dotted with historic buildings, a National Trust Museum, and Georgian architecture. Guided tours can help you get the most out of a wander through town, while shore excursions to some of Bermuda’s best beaches and bays—including Tobacco Bay and Achilles Bay—for snorkeling and glass-bottom boat rides are also popular.

  • High winds can sometimes lead to liners docking at nearby ports instead of St. George’s Bermuda Cruise Port.
  • Shore excursions are a convenient way to make the most of your visit to Bermuda and typically include transportation.
  • It’s well worth spending some time in UNESCO-recognized St. George’s before heading to the beach.
  • St. George’s is well-connected to Hamilton, Bermuda’s capital, by both bus and ferry.
  • Given the historic nature of St. George’s, some places may not be entirely wheelchair accessible.

Ships dock on Ordinance Island at St. George's Harbour, which is linked to the mainland by a bridge. King’s Square is minutes from the dock and easy to access on foot. Shore excursions to other destinations typically include round-trip transportation.

English is the official language, although Portuguese speakers are also prevalent. The local currency is the Bermuda dollar and there are plenty of banks and ATMs available. US dollars are also accepted but leave your British pounds at home.
