One of the Champagne region’s largest and most influential producers, Champagne Pommery is best known for pioneering the dry, brut-style sparkling wine. Today, Pommery is renowned for its sprawling network of chalk caves and its colorful, Elizabethan-style headquarters.
The first port of call for Champagne-seeking visitors to Reims, Champagne Pommery attracts with its well-rated wines, storied past, and one-of-a-kind setting. Highlights of the Champagne house include hundreds of kilometers of chalk caves—some of which can be discovered on tours—alongside art-bedecked tasting cellars. Champagne Pommery also maintains the nearby Villa Demoiselle, a historical home-turned-museum known for its art deco and art nouveau architecture, which can be visited independently.
Champagne Pommery is featured on numerous tour itineraries, including Reims city tours; full- and multi-day Champagne region tastings; and private trips from Paris. Some multi-stop tours also pair it with visits to nearby houses such as Champagne Taittinger and Veuve Clicquot-Ponsardin, or landmarks such as Reims Cathedral and Hautvillers Abbey.

Champagne Pommery is located on the edge of Reims. The Champagne house is a roughly 10-minute taxi trip from the Reims train station—Villa Demoiselle is located just across the street. If traveling from Paris by car, it’s roughly a 2-hour journey along the A4.
Pommery is open daily from midmorning until early evening, and advance reservations are strongly recommended. The Champagne house is closed annually on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The Villa Demoiselle is open to visitors Wednesday–Sunday, also from midmorning until early evening, except on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
