Historic Fort Steuben

Historic Fort Steuben is at 120 S. Third St. This reconstructed 1787 fort provides a taste of military life on the frontier in 18th-century Ohio. Visitors can view displays in the exhibition hall and tour the enlisted men's quarters, the officers' quarters, commissary, guardhouse and hospital as well as the artificer's and quartermaster's shops and an archaeology dig. In addition, the visitor center offers information for travelers. Adjacent to the site is the First Federal Land Office as well as Fort Steuben Park, which includes the Veterans Memorial Fountain. Concerts are held at the Louis Berkman Amphitheater. Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
