Destin Commons is an outdoor shopping center with more than 85 shops and restaurants, including Destin’s first food hall, City Food Hall. The complex also has entertainment, such as the AMC Movie Theater, a play area, a mural art walk, seasonal events, and an underwater-themed bowling alley. It’s located east of downtown, just across the Mid-Bay Toll Bridge.
Destin Commons is surrounded by other shopping centers, making the area an easy place to schedule a day of retail therapy. There's plenty to entertain the kids while the parents shop. The Cubby Caboose gives daily mini-train tours of Destin Commons, the Lucky Climber challenges tots to get a bird’s-eye view of the shopping center, and the splash pad is perfect for cooling down under the hot Florida sun.
A farmer’s market takes place on the last Sunday of every month.
Six dog water stations are located throughout the Commons.
The Collection mural wall is a great place for selfies.
Destin Commons is at 4100 Legendary Drive on the corner of Spencer Parkway and Highway 98, the main throughway through Destin. From downtown Destin, take Highway 98 East; from Interstate 10, take Route 285 to Route 293 and cross the Mid-Bay Toll Bridge. Bus routes 32 and 33 stop across the street at The Shoppes At Paradise Key.
Destin Commons is generally open from mid-morning until late evening Monday through Saturday and late morning through evening on Sundays. Restaurants and the movie theater may hold different hours. You’ll see crowds on the weekends and throughout the week in summer, but the biggest inconvenience may be parking. Arrive when the complex opens or around the lunch/dinner rush to get a spot closer to the door.
Keep shopping for deals down at Destin’s HarborWalk Village. Located in downtown Destin near the Destin Boardwalk, the complex has shopping, dining, and entertainment—a perfect complement to Destin Commons. Try to visit on Thursday nights, when you’ll end your shopping spree with a sky full of fireworks.
