Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park is off US 83 exit S. Bentsen Palm Dr./ FM 2062, following signs to 2800 S. Bentsen Palm Dr. The headquarters of the World Birding Center features a hawk tower, bird-feeding stations and observation blinds on 760 acres, allowing visitors ample bird-watching options as well as a glimpse of Mexico. Five miles of paved bicycle trails, 7 miles of nature trails, a tram ride, and birding and interpretive tours also are offered. Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
