Baxter Springs Heritage Center and Museum

740 East Ave., Baxter Springs, KS, 66713

Baxter Springs Heritage Center and Museum is at 740 East Ave. The two-story facility's interpretive exhibits relate local history from the late 19th century and World Wars I and II as well as Native American history. An 1870s street display offers a blacksmith shop, and another interprets life in the 1930s and features a barber shop and beauty salon as well as dentist and optometrist offices.
