Winter Park’s Main Street is a lively area. Two of the city’s most famous attractions are Rollins College and the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art; the latter destination is home to the world’s largest collection of Tiffany glass. The Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art is a 5-minute walk from the Winter Park station. Trains only run on weekdays.

Every Saturday morning, the Winter Park Farmers Market, which is held at the restored train depot, offers up a selection of local produce, plants, baked goods, and more. Overall, the best time to visit the area is from March to May, when it’s not too hot and humid and hotel rates are reasonable.

Located less than an hour away by car from Winter Park, the Kennedy Space Center, which is adjacent to the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Titusville, Florida, provides an alternative to the nearby Orlando attractions. The center includes historic engine replicas and full-size rockets, the Space Shuttle Atlantis, and hands-on exhibits about traveling into space.
