Just west of the Mashpee Rotary Circle at SRs 28 and 151 is Mashpee Commons (22 Steeple St.), an open-air shopping center modeled after a traditional New England village. The multipurpose complex features a Regal Cinema as well as such chains as Pottery Barn, Puritan Cape Cod, Soft As A Grape and White House/Black Market.About 4.5 miles south of Mashpee Commons in the New Seabury community, preppy clothing, organic soaps, artwork and beach-inspired trinkets fill Popponesset Marketplace (259 Shore Dr.). Wood-shingled, cottage-like structures house boutiques and eateries catering to the area's well-to-do residents. Plus, there's an 18-hole miniature golf course here for the kiddos and free summer concerts Thursday through Sunday evenings.
