Medicine Wheel

Medicine Wheel is off US 14A on Medicine Mountain, about 27 mi. e. of Lovell. The pre-Columbian structure, a circular arrangement of stones 245 feet in circumference with 28 spokes extending from a central cairn, is believed to have been used for religious ceremonies or celestial observations.

Note: The road to Medicine Wheel is closed to vehicular traffic. Visitors are required to walk 1.5 miles to the site. Exceptions can be made for elderly or physically impaired visitors.
