Discovery World is at 500 N. Harbor Dr. Exhibit areas focus on automation in the modern world; the Great Lakes watershed featuring a scale model with live animals; modern medicine including genetics and microscope technology; energy's uses and sources; and water and its environmental importance. The 120,000-square-foot facility also contains fresh and saltwater aquariums, an amphitheater and The H.I.V.E., a multimedia virtual reality theater. Biking, fishing and walking are popular activities at a lakefront promenade, which also features a boat landing.
