Historic Hixon House

Historic Hixon House is at 429 7th St. N. This 1858 Italianate house reflects the lifestyle of lumberman and banker Gideon Hixon and his wife Ellen. Approximately 90 percent of the furnishings are original, including a “Turkish Nook,” Oriental rugs, ceramics from Europe and Asia and furniture of the Victorian period.
