Hawks Nest State Park

Hawks Nest State Park is 1.75 mi. w. on US 60 to 49 Hawks Nest Park Rd. The 276-acre park is named for a sweeping lookout point above the New River. A nature center, open daily Memorial Day through Labor Day, has hands-on displays. Hiking trails of varying lengths and intensity, including the Hawks Nest Rail Trail, lead to scenic views and overlooks.

Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available.
