LeMay Collections at Marymount is at 325 152nd St. E. Harold LeMay certainly loved cars, as he managed to amass more than 3,000 automobiles, trucks and motorcycles as well as countless items of vehicle-related memorabilia over a 40-year period. This treasure trove is housed in several buildings on the 80-acre grounds of historic Marymount Academy. A number of the vehicles in this collection have been donated to LeMay—America's Car Museum.
There's still plenty to see here, however. The guided tour takes you on a joy ride through a century of American-made cars, from vintage models like the 1931 Stutz Boattail Speedster to the muscle cars of the 1970s to such whimsical one-off designs as the SeaWorld Manta Ray, which suggests a future conveyance that might be used to explore the sea floor frontier.
Layered clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended for the guided tour.
