Mowich Lake Road

Mowich Lake Road is accessible via the SR 165 entrance in Mount Rainier National Park's n.w. corner. Although this dirt and gravel surfaced byway is not a through road, it serves as a trailhead for those taking trips into the park's back country. Primitive, hike-in camping is permitted at a designated campsite along the lake, but campfires are prohibited and potable water is not available. Campers must obtain a wilderness permit, available at ranger stations.

Camping is permitted.
