Fort Spokane is 25 mi. n. of Davenport on SR 25 to 44150 District Office Ln. N. This 19th-century military outpost was built to ensure peaceful relations between Colville and Spokane Indians and white settlers. A visitor center and museum are in the brick guardhouse, one of four remaining outpost buildings. A self-guiding trail follows the old parade grounds. Historical interpretive programs are offered in the summer.

Time: Allow 1 hour, 30 minutes minimum.
