AAA Editor Notes
Olmstead Place Historical State Park is at 921 N. Ferguson Rd. This 217-acre park preserves the legacy of a pioneer family farm. Settled in 1875, it was one of the first homesteads in the Kittitas Valley. Historic farm buildings include a log cabin, granary, barns, sheds and the residence, built in 1908 and containing period furnishings. The site features a carefully restored historic garden and dozens of pieces of early farm equipment. The .75-mile Altapes Creek Interpretive Trail links a red barn and the reconstructed Seaton Cabin School.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
