Des Moines Beach Park

Des Moines Beach Park, 4 blks. w. of SR 509 via S. 223rd St. to 22030 Cliff Ave. S., is a 20-acre park that includes the Covenant Beach Historic District with meadows, woodlands, hiking trails, 635 feet of saltwater beach and a salmon-bearing stream that empties into Puget Sound. The district, which operated as a church retreat for more than 50 years, still reflects its Swedish architectural heritage.
