Maritime Heritage Park is at 500 W. Holly St. On the site of an 1852 sawmill, the heritage center includes a seven-station interpretive path that explores the life cycle of salmon. Some 3 million pink, coho and chum salmon are released every spring. The best viewing time is mid-October to mid-December. A native plant garden has interpretive signs and The Salmon Art Trail features 10 salmon-themed art pieces, including a cedar hand-carved Salmon Woman totem pole.

Picnic tables are available.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
