Flaming Geyser State Park is 2 mi. e. on SR 18, .5 mi. e. on S.E. Auburn-Black Diamond Rd., then 8 mi. e. on S.E. Green Valley Rd. to 23700 S.E. Flaming Geyser Rd. The 480-acre park is named for an old coal test hole that has an 8-inch methane flame. The Steelhead Trout Imprinting Project holds young fish in a series of ponds to instill the habit of homing. A playground is on the grounds.
