AAA Editor Notes
Wren Building, at 111 Jamestown Rd. at William & Mary, is the college's oldest edifice and is said to be the oldest college building still in use in the United States. The design of the structure, which dates to 1695, has been attributed to English architect Sir Christopher Wren. Although damaged by three fires, the outer walls are still largely original. The chapel, great hall and a classroom have been furnished to appear as they probably did in the 18th century.
