Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum

Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum is at 2 High St. on the Elizabeth River waterfront. Emphasizing the Portsmouth-Norfolk area’s role, paintings, models and exhibits trace the history of the U.S. Navy. Noteworthy are the models of the CSS Virginia and the U.S. Delaware, the nation’s first dry-docked ship.
