George C. Marshall Museum and Library

George C. Marshall Museum and Library is on the Virginia Military Institute campus at 1600 VMI Parade. The building houses the World War II chief of staff’s papers and material relating to U.S. military and diplomatic history through much of the 20th century.

An electric map with narration traces the developments of World War II. Displayed are the Nobel Peace Prize awarded Marshall in 1953 and the Academy Award presented to Gen. Frank McCarthy, the VMI graduate who produced the movie “Patton.”
