Boxerwood Nature Center & Woodland Garden

Boxerwood Nature Center & Woodland Garden is at 963 Ross Rd. The 15-acre site features thousands of rare and native trees and shrubs. Walking trails take visitors past ponds and wetlands as well as an impressive assortment of dwarf conifers, magnolias, dogwoods, rhododendrons, azaleas and Japanese maples.

While discovering nature on The PlayTrail, young children can scale a miniature mountain, climb through a tunnel, make clay cookies in the Mud Kitchen and float leaf boats on Dale's Creek. Additional children’s activity areas as well as educational programs are offered.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
