Virginia Air & Space Center

Virginia Air & Space Center is off I-64 exit 267, then 1 mi. w. to 600 Settlers Landing Rd. The center features aircraft and spacecraft suspended from a 94-foot ceiling. Adventures in Flight presents interactive exhibits about the Wright Brothers and regional contributions to aviation history. A NASA display includes an Orion spacecraft, the Apollo 12 command module, Solarium (a lunar lander), moon rocks and a Mars meteorite. Also on-site are Space Quest: Exploring the Moon, Mars & Beyond, a gallery featuring hands-on displays; an IMAX theater; and a seven-story observation deck providing panoramic views.
