Sandy Bottom Nature Park

Sandy Bottom Nature Park, off I-64 at 1255 Big Bethel Rd., offers a fishing pier, boat rentals, a 12-mile multipurpose trail system, primitive campsites and tent cabins. The nature center, which overlooks Sandy Bottom Lake, houses wildlife exhibits. The 456-acre wetlands site also offers observation platforms and an observation tower, a playground and a demonstration garden.
