Meadow Farm Museum is off I-295 exit 45; take Woodman Rd. .1 mi. s., then Mountain Rd. 2.1 mi. w. to General Sheppard Crump Memorial Park entrance, following signs. This historic farm and museum, once the home of a 19th-century doctor and his family, presents programs and exhibits about rural Southern culture. On some weekends, costumed interpreters demonstrate the day-to-day activities of the 1800s in the on-site barns, blacksmith forge, doctor’s office, farmhouse and fields.
An orientation center features rotating exhibits. A fishing pond, nature trails and a playground also are offered. Guided Animal Tours also are available.
Guided tours are available. Recreational activities are permitted. Picnicking is permitted.
