Great Bridge Lock Park is off Great Bridge Bypass (SR 168) at Great Bridge Blvd. (SR 190), then s. on Battlefield Blvd. (SR 168) to 100 Locks Rd. The park sits on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway where the Albemarle and Chesapeake Canal meets the Elizabeth River. Thousands of luxury yachts and pleasure boats make their way into the Chesapeake watershed from here.
A viewing area allows visitors to sit and watch lock operations. The park also includes a boat ramp, fishing and crabbing spots, a playground and nature trails.
