Montshire Museum of Science

Montshire Museum of Science, I-91 exit 13 to 1 Montshire Rd. off SR 10A, features more than 140 hands-on exhibits about science, natural history and technology. Permanent exhibits include freshwater aquariums; live animals; and Bubbles: Science in Soap, exploring surface tension and how it affects bubbles of all sizes. Daily activities are offered in the Science Discovery Lab. Visiting exhibitions also are offered throughout the year.

The museum is on 110 acres along the Connecticut River. Nature trails, outdoor exhibits and an outdoor science park with water features are on-site.

Food is available in summer.

Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 4 hours minimum.
