Vermont State House

Vermont State House, 115 State St., is built of Barre granite in an impressive Renaissance Revival style. The gilded dome is surmounted by a statue of Agriculture. Inside the portico stands a marble statue of Ethan Allen and a brass cannon captured from Hessians in the 1777 Battle of Bennington.
