Old Burying Ground

Old Burying Ground is on the Old First Church grounds at Monument Ave. and Church Ln. in Old Bennington Village. The site contains the graves of the founders of Bennington, soldiers killed in the Battle of Bennington, six Vermont governors and the poet Robert Frost, whose epitaph is “I had a lover's quarrel with the world.”
