Salt Lake Tabernacle on Temple Square

Salt Lake Tabernacle on Temple Square is in Temple Square at 50 W. North Temple St. Completed in 1867, the tabernacle seats 6,500 under one of the world's largest domed roofs without center supports. The building has remarkable acoustics, and its 11,623-pipe organ is said to be one of the finest in existence.

The tabernacle has been the home of the renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir since the group's inception in the mid-19th century. The choir's 360 volunteer singers, all members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, practice and perform weekly.
