John Jarvie Historic Ranch
AAA Editor Notes
John Jarvie Historic Ranch is about 8 mi. n.w. of Dutch John, Utah, on US 191, then 22 mi. e. on a gravel road, following signs to Browns Park. A turn-of-the-20th-century hideout for outlaws, Browns Park was also the site of a successful ranching operation started by Scottish immigrant John Jarvie in the 1880s. On the grounds is a replica of a general store built in 1881, a blacksmith shop, a corral and the two-room dugout where Jarvie lived.
